Every few months, we take a look at the listings that are for sale by owner in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. When last we looked, in July, there were plenty of well-designed, well-photographed FSBO options, but a few months later, the number of FSBO listings on StreetEasy has dropped. Here are the best/most interesting FSBO listings we spotted this time around. Above is a 1BR, 1BA co-op at 60 South Oxford Street in Fort Greene, asking $475,000.
The current owner isn't just FSBOing this apartment at 166 West 76th Street?the owner in question is also responsible for custom wall units, lighting, crown molding, and flooring. There's a decent amount of storage space, too. The apartment is asking $599,000 after last selling in 2004 for $415,000.
This apartment in a newish Prospect Park South building last sold for $299,130 in 2010 and has been on and off the market this year, recently arriving at a list price of $385,000 after some choppage. The owner added a washer/dryer and granite and backsplash in the kitchen.
This apartment in Dumbo/DoBro/Brooklyn Heights's 215 Adams Street was in contract as of our last FSBO check, but that deal apparently fell through. The listing is back on the market, still at the same price of $409,000.
444 East 86th Street's #7D is a fairly basic one-bedroom, but it's notable because the seller is "Very Motivated" and open to offers. (The place, which recently received a renovation, has been on the market at its current ask of $539,000 for nearly a month.)
We don't see too many listings pop up for Hudson Heights' Castle Village, so we're including this one, at 160 Cabrini Boulevard. The 3BR, 2BA is asking $1.05 million and boasts of three exposures, a picture window facing the GW Bridge, and building amenities like a gym and on-site co-generation.
