Even after he reunited with his former boy band mates for a rather brief performance at this year's VMAs, Lance Bass must have felt like something was off with his old apartment. You could go so far as to say he was feeling out of sync with with the Chelsea Mercantile condo, a 1,300-square-foot 1BR/2BA that he bought for $1.495 million in 2010. A tipster alerted us to the just-posted listing?after owning it for a mere 38 months, Bass (real name: James) just put it on the market for $2.2M, for a potential windfall of $730,000. There are a somewhat excessive 11 closets and a second (Murphy) bed in the apartment's designated office space, and the building has a communal roof deck. Bass tried to rent out the (tasteful, kinda bland) one-bed last year for $8,500/month, then this year for $8,000, but tenants (and, you know, God) apparently did not spend enough time in #10J. And perhaps because he just got engaged to his long-time, L.A.-based boyfriend, or because he needs to devote more time to his Sirius show, "Dirty Pop with Lance Bass," it's gonna be (the sales route) this time.
