Inwood residents really do not like La Marina, the restaurant on Parks Department waterfront land that frequently morphs into a wild club with thumping DJs. Besides the late-night noise, it also clogs streets into the wee hours and posts area ads touting scantily clad partygoers. And now their hatred has intensified, because it turns out that rather than a capacity of 500, La Marina is actually legally allowed, via a special Fire Department permit, to pack its gills with 1,800 patrons. Which means that subduing the raucous venue will be all the more difficult. [DNAinfo; previously on Eater NY]
