This summer Judge Judy, known outside the courtroom as Judith Sheindlin, sold her pied-a-terre at the Sherry Netherland for $8.5 million. And, whaddaya know, that's the same amount she paid for a duplex penthouse in Sutton Place. Sellers of the three-bedroom, three-full-bath, and two-half-bath co-op at Rosario Candela-designed 14 Sutton Place South listed for $9,750,000 in February, but Sheindlin closed earlier this month at a nice little discount, and the deal hit public records today. (We did know she drives a hard bargain.) A wraparound terrace with three exposures, 90-bottle wine cellar, and wood-burning fireplaces round out the flat. Sheindlin and her husband used to occupy the penthouse at neighbor 60 Sutton Place South, having sold it for $2.25 million in 2010. Guess they missed the area. With that, this co-op board is adjourned.
