This week's top dish from Eater NY, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog?
1) FiDi/Battery Park City: The first restaurant to be announced for One World Trade Center will be helmed by Susur Lee of Shang fame. It'll be a contemporary Chinese restaurant located on the 66th floor, within a member's-only private club at the China Center.
2) Greenpoint: Ah, the sound of silence. Brooklyn restaurant Eat hosted the first in a series of dinners during which patrons are not allowed to make a peep. Remember, NYC eateries are really loud.
3) Midtown West & Flatiron District: This week in food flash mobs: hundreds flocked to Bryant Park for the city's third Diner en Blanc, while (of course) a gazillion people camped out in Madison Square Park for the one-day-only Shake Shack/Dominique Ansel Cronut Concrete collaboration.
4) South Street Seaport, Hell's Kitchen & Union Square: Culinary outposts that won't be around anymore: Fulton Stall Market (too much competition at the Seaport); famed Italian sandwich shop Manganaro's Hero-Boy (its building got sold, and the new owners are giving it the boot); and Heartland Brewery's flagship (ousted by a rent hike to, oof, $2 million/year).
