In the Rezone

New, 2 comments

Crain's just published an editorial sharply criticizing Bill de Blasio and other city politicians' refusal to unequivocally endorse the Midtown East rezone, calling their hesitation "preposterous." De Blasio has remained pretty wishy-washy, citing concerns over infrastructural improvants, while Democratic councilman Dan Garodnick—whose district includes the proposed rezone area—has stated that his support is contingent on certain labor, infrastructural, and sustainability assurances. It should probably come as no surprise that Republican mayoral candidate Joe Lhota has wholeheartedly endorsed the rezone plan. [Crain's]
