Jimmy McMillan's New Video Is More Chill And Too Damn Long

New, 2 comments

It wouldn't be an election without mustachioed pro-tenant activist and viral music video maker extraordinaire Jimmy McMillan. His newest effort (h/t Brokelyn and Animal) nears "American Pie" status with a whopping 7:20 run time, and an extended, dramatic black-and-white introduction featuring an agonized renter. Overall, it's tons less aggressive than his debut anthem. (At least until the part where he smashes a guitar emblazoned with an American flag and his face against a tree, when an action figure in his likeness makes a debut.) Our favorite lyric? "You're working all day/You're working all night/Giving all your hard-earned money to the landlord/That ain't right." No, no it ain't.
