432 Park Avenue Through The Eyes of An Architecture Photog

New, 3 comments

Not only did co-developers CIM Group and Macklowe Properties install three livestream cameras to capture the ascent of 432 Park Avenue, but they hired professional photographer Richard Berenholtz to artfully document it from start to finish. Designboom recently sat down with Berenholtz for a video interview and had the opportunity to film him shooting 432 Park Avenue, showing viewers how he shows us the soon-to-be-tallest residential tower in the Western Hemisphere. Designed by Rafael Vinoly, the tower will rise to 1,396 feet, with a grid of 10'x10' windows lining the facade. Many people don't think highly of the building?New York magazine's Justin Davidson calls it "a genuine clunker"?but Berenholtz finds it to be "a great, elegant, beautiful building" that will "be a big asset to the skyline."
