The federal government plans to release the final version of its $500 million cleanup plan for the Gowanus Canal posthaste. But the businesses that still operate along the banks of the famously polluted canal, which include a bus company, two scrap metal yards, and a concrete company, have yet to stop polluting it, according to watchdog organization Riverkeeper. Perhaps these business feel that their contributions are little more than a drop in the bucket of radioactive feces, but it's still got to stop.
