Forest City Ratner chose to building Atlantic Yards with modular construction in part because the technology would save time and money. However, changes needed to be made in the Brooklyn Navy Yard factory where the modules are being constructed, so the completion of tower B2 has been delayed by six months. But reps say they've now figured out the best and most efficient way to construct the units, so it should be smooth sailing from here on out. The first modules should arrive at the site this winter.
