Laundry lists of amenities seem to be the new normal for big new rental buildings in Williamsburg. The building formerly known as Hot Karl Beach rolled out a giant terrace and multitude of common rooms earlier this summer, and newbie 50 North 5th Street is following suit. Listings for the 229-unit building are now live, and the brokerbabble puts a heavy emphasis on the 15,000-square-feet of amenities: a two-level fitness center, pet spa, indoor basketball court, waterfall-equipped courtyard, bocce ball courts, landscaped roof deck with outdoor showers, and two lounges, one for work, the other for play. Obviously. Twelve listings are currently up on aptsandlofts.com, with studios starting at $2,600. One-bedrooms range from $3,000 to $3,750, and the most expensive unit listed is a $4,500 two-bedroom.
Units have oak floors, black-stained maple cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and white Caeserstone countertops. Every residence has a washer/dryer, plus individual HVAC controls and solar shades. Parking and storage units are available for an additional fee. The project was developed by Urban Development Partners and the Mack Real Estate Group, and SCLE Architects designed the building, while local firm CLO-TH designed the interiors.
