101 Bedford Is 70% Leased; Condos Selling Fast At 508 W. 24th

WILLIAMSBURG?Hot Karl Beach has put its bad days solidly behind it. The colossal rental building at 101 Bedford Avenue has leased 70 percent of the 174 units in the first two buildings. Co-developer Yoel Sabel of Halcyon Management attributes the success to the fact that the place is "an intimate community" that "inherently feels like home." The complex has a laundry list of amenities, including a pool and sauna, giant rooftop terrace, and courtyard garden. The second two buildings, which hold 177 studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms, will come to market October 1. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]

WEST CHELSEA?Cary Tamarkin's 15-unit condo building 508 West 24th Street came to market at the beginning of July, and 40 percent of the units have sold. StreetEasy shows four units are currently available, including a 3,018-square-foot penthouse asking $10.5 million. All of the available units are three-bedrooms, and the least expensive is listed for $4.15 million. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]

GREENWICH VILLAGE?World Architecture Day, which is actually three days, comes to New York from Oct. 6-8 with a series of speakers and events hosted at the Center for Architecture. We previously lamented the price, £700 GBP per ticket, but reps reached out to let us know that all AIA New York members get half off, which is better, but still expensive.
