A group of parents who recently moved into the many new condo developments in Downtown Brooklyn, calling themselves Downtown Brooklyn School Solutions, are clamoring for more schools. They're lobbying developers with currently empty sites in the area to include a shell for an elementary school in one of their projects. According to calculations done by the group, an "additional 2,600 children who are likely to attend public grade school will live in the neighborhood by 2018."
