Listing Stories

Artist David Salle combined two Fort Greene properties, a 19th-century schoolhouse and a more modern townhouse, to create one massive live/work space at 81 Hanson Place, which he listed last year for $10 million. The home was open this weekend as part of the City Modern tours, and while we weren't allowed to take photos, we did ask the event staff why the listing came off the market with no recorded sale. The intel: Salle, who tends to like "up-and-coming" neighborhoods, had been considering a project in Red Hook, but after Hurricane Sandy, opted to stay put for now. [CurbedWire Staff; previously]
