Just a 10-minute walk from lush, lauded Brooklyn Bridge Park lies Bridge Park 2, a blighted square block of concrete that few frequent. Similarly named but vastly different, "people this paper polled [in BBP] had never heard of the waterfront green space's barren sibling." Located under the Manhattan Bridge approach, it is one of three numbered parks built to counteract the building of the BQE. Middle schoolers think it's scary while fashion photogs use it for gritty shoots, and though the Parks Department says it's planning an overhaul of the site, it declined to provide a timeline or budget.
