Neil Patrick Harris Bought Record-Setting Harlem Townhouse

New, 72 comments

Last month, we reported that a four-story, 8,000-square-foot townhouse at 2036 Fifth Avenue in Harlem had set a neighborhood record when it went in contract for its full ask of $4 million. Now it emerges that the man behind that record-setting purchase is none other than noted actor/Harlem townhouse coveter Neil Patrick Harris. It also turns out that the Harris didn't pay quite as much for the place as everyone originally thought—the final sale price is "only" $3.6 million. The building is currently separated into two units, an owner's triplex and a commercial duplex, but the reveal of its new owner pretty much takes all the mystery out of whether or not it's going to combined into one big mansion.
