In The (Other) Heights

New, 3 comments

Amy Grace Loyd, a novelist who's done stints at Playboy and Byliner, sounds off on living in Brooklyn Heights, where she moved in the 90s. Paying an enviable $700/month for a studio on Remsen Street?via an ad she saw in the Times because Craigslist did not exist?she shipped out to the neighborhood without knowing about the fruits streets or the literary greats who called it home. Loyd does, however, have a favorite celebrity neighbor: "Paul Giamatti. He's lived here for years and has this marvelous look on his face that says, 'Don't you fucking talk to me.' Nobody does."
