After a $140 million reservation, The New York Palace hotel is up and running, and the GM offered up a tour of the Champagne Suite. It's just a 46th-floor triplex with a two-story grand foyer, a piano, and a terrace with views of the Chrysler and Empire State that goes for $25,000/night. Catering mostly to "royalty, Middle Eastern business, celebrity business," the hotel also has "39 extremely large suites that are in their own right bigger than most Manhattan apartments." Well, thanks. [Crain's; previously]
