Arthur Laurents' Saint Luke's Place Townhouse Asks $12M

New, 7 comments

Playwright Arthur Laurents may have had the idea for West Side Story while hanging out in the Dakota, but he lived, until 2006, on Saint Luke's Place (where Robert De Niro was also a long-time owner). The former Laurents' home, at 9 Saint Luke's Place, has been on and off the market as a rental since mid-2012, asking $35,000/month and then a much-reduced $18,000/month. According to StreetEasy, the listing rented when it came down to that lower price, but now the owners are ready to give up landlording and sell. The 4,368-square-foot, 4BR, 5BA home is asking $12 million.
