Moinian's long-stalled Atelier 2 tower on the west side came back to life last year, and now NY YIMBY has a few new images of what the completed residential tower will look like. The facade is still a bluish glass, but the 57-story tower now has a more simplified top with integrated mechanicals. A few detail shots also show the larger retail podium, which stretch across most of the block. It will hold a whopping 1,100 rental apartments, making it the biggest in the city. That is, of course, until TF Cornerstone builds its colossal development up on West 57th Street. Atelier 2 should be complete by 2015. It's been awhile since we've seen the site, so any construction shots are welcome on the tipline.
