Modeling The Surprisingly Realistic Apartments On Girls

New, 4 comments

Thinking about TV show apartments in real life can get depressing, given that they often don't represent anything close to what the characters, written as they are, could reasonably afford. Architizer has come up with renderings and a floorplan based off of the layouts of pads seen on Girls, thanks to production designer Laura Ballinger Gardner, and discovered that they're not too far out of the realm of possibility for everyday New Yorkers. Maybe you have to work somewhere other than a coffee shop or be something other than an NYU student to make rent, but it's possible. Thoughts on the layouts and their relation to reality?
