Demolition Watch

New, 14 comments

A not-unpleasant-looking seven-story office building in Downtown Brooklyn is slated for a full demolition, according to new filings from the Department of Buildings. The 100-year-old building at 199 Jay Street has been used by Federation Employment And Guidance Service, and public records show no recent sales, so it appears that Amtrust Realty is still the owner. The lot, which sits close to a Manhattan Bridge exist, is zoned for commercial use, so we're curious to see what comes next. Have more intel? Please do hit up the tipline. [Brownstoner]
