The two most public contenders to take over ailing Long Island College Hospital continue to battle it out, while the arbiter of the decisionfacility owner SUNY Downstateremains tight-lipped. Fortis Property Group just teamed up with NYU Langone Medical Center to add expanded health services to its plan, which also includes luxury condos, while late-breaking contender Brooklyn Hospital Center claims it also has a right to a redo, and its amended plan includes a "well-capitalized developer" to build its 1,000 proposed apartments (350 affordable) and outlines providing emergency, primary and specialty care at LICH.
