A deaf elderly man is fighting his Battery Park City condo board to keep his service dog by his side. A lawsuit filed last week claims Cove Club Condominium on South End Avenue has been discriminating against Roman Erikhman, 76, since 2012, claiming that his hearing assistance dog is bigger than building regulations allow. In addition to being allowed to keep his puppy, Scooby, court filings also asks for $150,000 in civil fines and compensatory damages. [DNAinfo]
