SOHO—Rock star Jon Bon Jovi has given up—for now—on selling his enormous 158 Mercer Street penthouse. After putting the 7,452-square-foot pad, which he purchased in 2007 for $24 million, on the market in 2011 for $45 million he cut the price a couple of times before quietly de-listing it six weeks ago. The consensus seems to be that the apartment was just priced too high, although some brokers apparently blame rich peoples' fear of new mayor Bill de Blasio. [LLNYC; previously]
