Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various New York City neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $3,200/month.
↑ In Chelsea, this brand new 1BR/1BA is renting for $3,200/month. It appears to have a map of the world and some sort of birch bark pattern painted onto opposite walls, as well as a bright purple accent wall in the living room. And, if you forget where you are, there's the light-up NY that hopefully, but probably doesn't, come with.
↑ This 2BR/1BA in Hell's Kitchen does not allow pets, but it does allow french doors, lots of windows, and a bar counter. It's going for $3,285/month.
↑ In Crown Heights (mere feet from the Prospect Heights "border"), a 732-square-foot 1BR/1BA is asking $3,200/month. It includes a kitchen island, washer/dryer, and floor-to-ceiling windows.
↑ A 1,200-square-foot 3BR/1BA on 113th Street in Harlem was just gut renovated and now features all new appliances, recessed lighting, and many ceiling fans. It wants $3,250/month.
↑ In Park Slope, a 900-square-foot 3BR/1BA is going for $3,250/month. The living room and separate kitchen both appear to be amply sized, and it's difficult to tell exactly, but it looks like one of the bedrooms is more or less normal and the other two are tiny. There are some nice original details, too.
↑ And in the West Village, a high-ceilinged 1BR/1BA with a decorative fireplace is going for $3,150/month. There are also a few built-in shelves and a small bit of crown molding.
