Chalk one up for the pro-bike lanes crowd. New York State allocated $67 million for new bike lanes and pedestrian paths throughout all five boroughs. The money will create 63 new multi-use paths, with $15M going directly to bike lanes. There will finally be a lane on the Pulaski Bridge; the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway-Gowanus connector will be built; and paths on Hell's Gate Bridge will be expanded. [Gothamist; all bike lanes coverage]
