Some 200 people gathered in Bushwick yesterday to hold a vigil for victims of traffic accidents and promote safer streets for pedestrians, and Brooklyn borough president Eric Adams showed up announced to voice his support. Already, 17 New Yorkers have died from being hit by vehicles in 2014, and Adams has committed to instituting a 20 miles-per-hour speed limit in his borough. [The Weekly Nabe]
