John Mayer Just Sold His Nolita Condo For A $1.8 Million Profit

New, 1 comment

The celeb-studded condo building at 225 Lafayette Street is about to lose a member. John Mayer just sold his 2BR/2.5BA corner unit for $3,910,000, according to public records first spotted by The Real Deal. Mayer picked up apartment #12D, which totals 2,063 square feet and also has a home office, back in 2005 for $2,173,690. TRD notes that Mayer's identity is shielded behind an entity called "Homelife LLC," and Home Life is also the title of one of his songs. Ah. Anyway, the almost nine years he held onto it yielded him $1.8M in profit, minus whatever he spent on renovations and the like. He also sold off his LA house—which had much weirder decor—in 2011, and now lives on a ranch in Montana. Paradise Valley sure is a far cry from his former downtown Manhattan abode, which looks a more than a little blah for a Grammy winner.
