The Icon 52, a new "affordable luxury" development at 52-05 Queens Boulevard in Woodside, is now leasing. The 66-unit building is asking $1,500 for a 440-square-foot studio, $1,750 for a 644-square-foot one-bedroom, and $2,350 for an 815-square-foot two-bedroom, according to the three listings currently live on Modern Spaces website. The cost of rent includes heat, but commenters on the Sunnyside Post beg to differ about the "affordable" claim.
All apartments feature hardwood floors throughout, Whirlpool-appointed kitchens, and Kohler soaking tubs in the bathroom. Units at the front of the building will overlook the greenery of New Calvary Cemetery, while units at the back will look towards the 7 line subway entrance just one block away at Roosevelt Avenue. The building isn't short on amenities, with a common rooftop terrace with "lounging pods" and built-in barbecue areas, a virtual doorman, on-site laundry, bicycle storage, and tenant storage. It should be ready for occupancy by March 1.
