Meet ODA Architecture's New 13-Story 'Burg Building-To-Be

New, 34 comments

The first renderings of a 13-story residential building proposed for South 1st Street in Williamsburg have been revealed, courtesy of BuzzBuzzHome, which spotted them on ODA Architecture's website. Developed by Jeff Gershon, the three combined lots at 190-196 South First Street that used to house a coffee warehouse would become 46 apartments, some with balconies, and other outdoor space along the building's lower wing that extends to the right of the tower. DOB permit filings, which have not yet been approved, list 30,478 square feet of residential space and 12,310 square feet of community facility space on the first and second floors. Gershon and ODA are also collaborating on a similar-looking residential project on Jackson Avenue in Long Island City. Thoughts on the design?
