What's In A Name?

New, 9 comments

Following a fledgling effort by the Observer to rename the under-construction Tappan Zee Bridge after Mario Cuomo comes a proposal to honor another prominent New York figure instead: Pete Seeger. A new Change.org petition is trying to rally support to name the span after the late folk singer because he was "a passionate advocate of peace, social justice, and the environment—in particular, the environmental health of the Hudson River." It has garnered 174 signatures so far. [Change.org; previously]
