Those of us suffering from cabin fever, seasonal affective disorder, or PPVD (post-polar vortex disorder) have been dreaming of sand and sunshine for weeks, but one popular New York City beach may not be open for summer fun. Fort Tilden Beach on the Rockaway peninsula suffered a lot of erosion and debris damage during Hurricane Sandy in 2012, and cleaning and repairs are still ongoing.
