Brooklyn's Fourth Avenue has been called a "canyon of mediocrity," but that hasn't stopped it from becoming one of the borough's busiest areas in terms of new development, thanks to its charming neighbor to the east, Park Slope. More than a few rental buildings are in the works, but "condos may be imminent." Even still, residents are very aware that no one likes the road. A committee formed to improve it has the lofty goal of getting people "to stop deliberately avoiding Fourth Avenue." [NYT; previously]
