New Developments

A Judaica store at 11 Avenue A is being converted into a six-unit residential building, according to plans filed on January 3. The building—which has housed Ben Ari Arts since 1960—will be expanded from 3,782 square feet to 5,020 square feet and gain another floor, with plans for retail space on the ground floor and a roof deck. The project is being designed by Robert Strong Architect and developed by Abraham Soudry's Better Living Properties, who bought the property from Ben Ari Arts for $3.4 million in December. [BBH]
