The owners of Southbridge Towers, a Mitchell-Lama co-op on Beekman Street in the Seaport, supposedly voted to take the 1,607-unit complex private, but the vote is now being investigated by the Division of Housing and Community Renewal, which currently oversees the complex. The investigation was likely spurred by the very narrow margin with which the vote passed; 1,072 votes were needed, and 1,082 yes votes were counted. [Downtown Post; previously]
