The sparse real estate offered in Brooklyn Bridge Park got a boost today with the revealing of two of One John Street's prized penthouses. The apartments, Penthouse F and Penthouse C, are asking $4.95 million and $5.66 million, BBH reports. Penthouse F is a 2,637-square-foot 4BR/3.5BA home with a dual-island kitchen and a private rooftop terrace. Penthouse C is a 2,567-square-foot 3BR/3BA duplex with an interior courtyard and private rooftop terrace that connects to the building's shared outdoor space. Both of the apartments have fancy fixings, like hand-clipped mosaic master bathroom floors.
By the time One John Street officially launched sales in late September, one third of its 42 apartments were already in contract. Needless to say, luxury inventory in the desirable area is tight; One John Street is rivaled only by the rising Pierhouse. Developer Alloy was smart to get in on the ground floor with their plans for the pricey building. There's nary a complaint logged against it, that is, in comparison to the controversial plan to bring affordable housing to the nearby Pier 6.
