Williamsburg, please welcome Leonard Pointe, the newest huge structure to bring a bunch of pricey rentals to the neighborhood. The seven-story building on Leonard Street just a stride off of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway assumes the former space of the erstwhile Meeker Flea. The building at 395 Leonard Street (nee 88 Richardson Street) begins renting its 188 apartments next month. Studios will start at $2,600, one-bedrooms at $3,250 and two-bedrooms at $4,335. Some of the building's penthouse apartments will rent between $4,000 and $6,000. The (obviously) Karl Fischer-designed building was developed by the Brooklyn-based Rabsky Group.
UPDATE: Karl Fischer is merely the architect of record, while Durukan Design is responsible for the interior and exterior design of the building.
