Bushwick, like a lot of Brooklyn, is gentrifying at a rapid pace, and longtime residents want that to stop. A rally was recently held to demand tighter rent regulation laws, which are up for renewal early next year. Already tenants feel pressure from their landlords and struggle for necessary repairs.
