A new passive house condo building at 951 Pacific Street near Grand Avenue in Prospect Heights has appeared on the market from $1.4 million. The row house building goes by the somewhat futuristic name R-951, which is appropriate in that its one of the first buildings in the city that could be Net Zero capable, allowing owners to live without external power sources. Instead, power and utilities comes from the buildings rooftop sun panels, rainwater harvesting system, and extreme insulation measures. The self-sustaining building is developed by Further, Inc. and designed by Castrucci. For a building as narrow, the layouts are generous: each of its three condos are duplexes and offer outdoor space, says BBH.
