Developer Ben Shaoul of Magnum Real Estate has already been sued by his parents, so by contrast, converting two rental buildings into condos can't seem all that difficult. Especially because he just scored a total of $270 million in loans for the project, which would renovate the Upper East Side's Post Toscana and Gramercy's Post Luminaria to house high-end condos. Shaoul has said he wants tenants to transition to owners, but they don't call him the Sledgehammer for nothing. [Commercial Observer; previously]
