One could argue Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson's modeling career peaked in the 1980s and 90s, when the it-girl appeared all over Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues, made repeat cameos on Friends, and the like. That's also when she purchased a two-bedroom, two-bathroom pied-a-terre in a nice prewar building on East 68th Street, and then promptly renovated it into a massive one-bedroom. It's been on and off the market for about a year, and the place just sold for $2.4 million. According to the listing broker, "The Body" now spends most of her time in London.
