Higgs Boson Scientist Buys Upper West Side Co-Op for $2.73M

New, 1 comment

Dr. Tony Liss is one of the scientists who helped discover the Higgs boson (or, the so-called "God particle") through the work of CERN using the Large Hadron Collider. Now, he and his wife are trading Geneva for the Upper West Side, having just purchased a duplex apartment in a brownstone at 331 West 84th Street for around $2.73 million, according to The New York Observer.

The newly renovated duplex has two beds, two baths, and two wood-burning fireplaces, plus in-ceiling surround-sound, central AC, refinished hardwood floors, and a completely updated kitchen with lots of shiny appliances. In the back, there's a lovely planted garden complete with a full irrigation system. There's also a pocket universe located behind the sub zero fridge, which may explain Dr. Liss' attraction to the joint.

No word yet on what Dr. Liss' neighbors think of a mad scientist meddling with forces beyond his control right next door. Pff, these scientists! They were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should.
