The Fortress of Glassitude has finally bestowed upon us its rental units, which are now up for grabs starting at $3,370/month for a studio. The 269 rentals, named Prism (ugh) and developed by Equity Residential, occupy floors two through 22 of the Christian de Portzamparc-designed tower, and they'll have a separate lobby at 50 East 28th Street (the condos have the address of 400 Park Avenue South). One-bedrooms start at $5,100, two-bedrooms at $9,100, and three-bedrooms at $15,900, and they all have white oak floors, marble bathrooms, quartz kitchen counters, and washer/dryers. The rental tenants and condo residents share the lower level amenities, which include a pool, fitness center with a sauna, and a lounge. But nevermind all that. Let's get to what we're all thinking about: what the hell is up with the wall in that model unit shown above? BNO Design outfitted all of the models, and this one has an unfortunate Renaissance-like mural plastered on the living room wall with the TV awkwardly mounted in the center of the scene.
