West 127th Street between St. Nicholas and Convent Avenues is getting a new addition. A lot that's sat empty for decades will sprout a new six-story apartment building. Harlem Bespoke spotted a rendering for the new building, which will have a very symmetrical and flat dark brick facade that will look pretty bland in comparison to its stately neighbors. Plans to develop the parcel have been on file with the Department of Buildings for a long time, but the site sold earlier this year and new plans for a 14-unit building with a rooftop deck were approved in July. The owner is Tomer Chen and the architect of record is Jock Deboer.
