The landmarked building at 346 Broadway is being converted into condos, and its iconic clock tower will become part of the penthouse. The clock and its mechanisms are protected by landmarks laws and cared for by the city's official Clock Master (yes, really), but the caretakers are concerned at how the clock will be accessed when its in a private home. No one has a plan yet, but it's not a landmarks requirement that it keeps turning, so it may stop telling time all together. [TT; previously]
