With One World Trade Center set to open next week, think about what's at the top of the 1,776-square-foot behemoth. Yup, a three-level observation deck from the 100th floor, aimed at tourists. The superlative tower's owners say One World Observatory is projected to generate $53 million a year by 2019that's a fourth of the skyscraper's total revenue. (1WTC cost $3.9B to build, BTW.) Clearly, camera-toting tourists have deeper pockets than office tenants. The deck is still set to open in the spring of 2015. [WSJ; previously]
