Despite getting its way in a thorny dust-up with the nurses' union, NYU Langone Medical Center still has to clear a few more hurdles before taking over Long Island College Hospital's emergency walk-in unit in the lead-up to the complex's sale to Fortis Property Group; the entire deal is (once again) on hold, pending final approval from various state entities, including the New York State attorney general, comptroller, Supreme Court, and Department of Health.
