Artists Need to Raise $100K for 'Stilt City'; 325 LEX 25% Sold

ROCKAWAYS—Artist Robyn Renee Hasty and architectural firm Jaklitsch / Gardner Architects are hoping to raise $100,000 through a Kickstarter campaign to fund "Stilt City," an art community space in a vacant bungalow on Rockaway Beach Boulevard, which had been flooded by Hurricane Sandy. "The project was born out of the belief that artistic vision is essential to communities after crisis," says Hasty. She is hosting a Kickstarter launch party on November 20 at Pioneer Works in Red Hook. [CurbedWire Inbox]
