More than 60,000 people wanted to live in the 105 affordable units at 1133 Manhattan Avenue, and now developer Domain Companies is read to see how many people want to live in the building's market rate units. Greenpoint Gazette reports that pre-leasing has begun for the project, dubbed Eleven33, and rents for the 105 market rate units range from $2,775 for a 636-square-foot one-bedroom to $5,100 for a two-bedroom with a large private terrace on the top floor. All of the units are no fee and 12-month leases include one month free.
Navid Maqami of Perkins Eastman designed the building and local firm hOmE created the interiors. The finishes, fixtures, and artwork in the common spaces come from Greenpoint Manufacturing and Design Center's artisans. Some apartments have private outdoor space and washer/dryers, and building amenities include the standard package for these giant new buildings: a fitness center, pet spa, a landscaped rooftop, a courtyard with an outdoor kitchen and grill, and bike storage. The building is also eco-friendly and seeking LEED certification.
Seventy-five of the building's 210 apartments will be ready for occupancy by mid-December, while the rest will come online in January.
